onboarding

the ten-step, resumable path from signup to your first trade.

wen walks a new account through the same ten steps, in order, and the flow is resumable - close the app halfway through and come back later without losing anything you'd already completed.

the ten steps

1. Create an account.
2. Verify your identity or login method.
3. Create your embedded wallets.
4. Choose a username and complete your profile.
5. Enable 2FA.
6. Make a first deposit.
7. Enable your secure perps trading agent, if you plan to trade perps.
8. Discover assets and traders.
9. Complete a first spot trade, perps trade, or copy trade.
10. Finish the onboarding quests for bonus wen XP.

why it's built this way

Steps 1-5 exist before you've moved any money, because an account with no funds in it is the cheapest place to get identity, wallet creation, and 2FA right. Step 6 is the first real money moment, covered in full on Deposits, conversion & withdrawals. Steps 8-9 are deliberately open-ended - discovery and your first trade don't have to happen the same day, or in that order.

Step 10 is worth doing even if you don't care about gamification: onboarding quests pay real XP for things you'd do anyway (complete your profile, enable 2FA, make your first deposit, place your first spot and perps trades, fund your first copy relationship, set price alerts, follow a few traders). resuming

Progress updates automatically from what you've completed. If you enabled 2FA before onboarding reaches that step, it's already marked done.
